8.1 Finite difference model

In order to test the time integration techniques a finite difference model has been implemented.

Hexahedral magnetic particles are discretized into cubic computational cells. Each computational cell has a magnetic moment which is the product of its volume and the saturation magnetization of the material. The time evolution of the magnetization is obtained by integrating the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation ([*]) for each computational cell.
